It's my favorite time of the year!

I'm so excited about Christmas! It's my favorite time of the year! I have a feeling this is going to be my best Christmas yet! Will someone please come put up my tree and do my shopping for me??

They cheered as hard as they could but we still lost to LSU! We are all very proud of the Razorbacks and there is always next year!

When B Babysits Part 2..

Poor B. He had a big hunting weekend planned. I gave him the okay and really thought he would spend the entire weekend in the woods. Towards the end of the week he started feeling bad (headache, tired) so I said, "Why don't you just stay home and relax." I don't think he will ever listen to me again.. I had Jennifer lined up for Saturday night because I thought he would be hunting and Caroline, my mom, I were going to dinner and then to see Rock of Ages at the WAC. Since B decided to stay home I canceled Jennifer. I left at 6 and the babies go to sleep by 8. So B only had to watch them for two hours. TWO HOURS! While I was sitting at Bordinos enjoying my glass of wine these are the text I got:

B-7:04 A full bottle exploded in the living room

Me-7:05 What??

B-7:10 I was carrying a bowl of chili, a beer, and a bottle. Glad the beer didn't fall.

B-7:30 I gave Ava Tylenol and she threw up everywhere. She has problems.

B-7:45 Ava just threw up again.. All over our bed

Me-7:47 Do I need to come home?

B-7:50 Brooks threw up twice

Me-7:55 Are you shaking them up???

B-8:00 Order is restored.

When I got home there was a huge pile of spit up on the carpet in our bedroom, our white comforter was laying on the floor covered in sweet potato spit up, and B was sound asleep sitting straight up in bed with the tv on. I just had to laugh. I don't know what he thinks goes on during the day when he isn't here but things can definitely get a little hectic. I'm kind of glad he got a little taste of my life!

The next day I snuck out again! Caroline and I went to see Breaking Dawn. B was panicked when he realized I was leaving! He even said, "You know you're better at this then I am. I thought I was supposed to be relaxing?" When I got home Gigi was at our house helping! He swears he didn't call for backup but I don't know if I believe him!

Do these angels look like they could cause all of those problems?

Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have so much to be thankful for this year!

I have three healthy happy little turkeys, a wonderful family, the best friends, a great B, the sweetest puppies, a roof over my head, and food on my table.

Is it a tooth?

On November 11th I noticed a tiny little white dot in Ava's mouth! I couldn't decide if it was a tooth or a mini ulcer! I think it's a tooth! She has been a little fussier than usual and has kept her hands in her mouth non-stop! I can't believe my little baby has a tooth! I tried to take a picture but it is basically impossible to get a shot of her mouth without her little tongue in the way! I wish the tooth would come all of the way in so her gums will stop hurting!

Still no teeth for the boys! I have a feeling Ava will be the first one to do everything! Girls are always first though right?

Cornbread Casserole

B has always said he isn't a fan of Thanksgiving food. I have never understood this. He loves ham, loves potatoes, corn, cornbread, rolls, etc. I wasn't sure what it was he didn't like. He says he really doesn't like dressing.. My grandmother has a great dressing recipe that you make in a crock pot. I tried the recipe several weeks ago and B loved it! When he asked what he was eating I told him cornbread casserole. He said it was really really good. Ha Then I told him what he was really eating! I swear his eating habits are like a little kids! My dressing was good but it wasn't as good as my grandmothers so I called her to double check the recipe before I made it for Thanksgiving. I'm almost embarrassed to admit this... The recipe calls for a box of Jiffy corn bread and a package of Martha White sweet cornbread mix. I used those but I didn't cook them first. I just dumped the mix in the crock pot... No wonder mine didn't turn out right! You are supposed to cook the cornbread and then crumble it after it cools and then add it. Oops! If B liked it before he is really going to like it when I make it the right way!

I'm in charge of making dressing, mashed potatoes, corn casserole, and macaroni and cheese for our second Thanksgiving. If it all turns out okay I will post the recipes!

Busy Busy!

We've had a busy week so far! I feel like I haven't been at home much at all! Monday Gigi, Caroline, the babies, and I loaded up and went to Rogers. We had big plans to stroll around the Promenade but it started raining! We made a few quick stops at some stores and then had a late lunch at PF Changs.

Knox decided he didn't like sitting in his car seat so he squirmed around the booth and went from Caroline, Gigi, to me... Knocking over drinks as he went..... It's getting harder and harder to take them out!

Someone (Knox) got to spend the night with Gigi this week! Someone also cried and got to sleep in bed with her all night and not wear their helmet! He's a little spoiled!

Tuesday the babies had an appointment to get their shots. We all got shots actually. Well B chose the Flu mist instead of the needle! He was smarter than me... Our appointment was a little chaotic. B and I gave the babies their Roto virus liquid vaccines while the nurse was out of the room getting their other shots ready. While B was putting the liquid in Ava's mouth she threw up! It was all over her, B, and the floor. He flipped out as usual (He has developed a spit up phobia I think!) and started grabbing tissues and knocked over everything on the counter in the process. Business cards went flying everywhere. Ava was screaming, B was cussing and all I could do was sit back and watch. CHAOS! Thank goodness Ava was wearing layers! Then the nurse came back in and B starts telling her that something must be wrong with Ava because she spits up every day! I tell her that no, she doesn't spit up every day, maybe once a week and that it's just because she has a sensitive gag reflex (Which is what the doctor told us)! B and I are arguing back and forth about how much she spits up and the nurse just looks at us like we are crazy! I was so ready to get out of there! ha Oh and then the babies had to get three shots each so our little room got very loud after that! Sometimes I wish B would just zip it and let me do the talking when we are at the doctor! I am with Ava 24/7 and she really doesn't spit up that much but I will say when she does spit up it is always on B or my mom! I think I just have the special touch!

We were all hot messes but decided to go to lunch anyway since we were already out of the house! We went to Chili's which was a good choice because it was empty! I feel bad when we go places that are busy and we take up three chairs for non-eating costumers!

Ava had nothing on but her stained white undershirt! Poor Baby! Her other outfit was so cute!

Once again Knox would not stay in his car seat and we had to pass him back and forth! He tried unsuccessfully to knock over our drinks and eat our food! He thought it was hilarious... He is a WILD MAN!

This little angel sat in his car seat and smiled and laughed the entire time. He is such a sweety!

PS-It's funny that I feel like I have to take pictures of the babies at restaurants but really it is a big deal that they are even out of the house! I feel like anything that requires them to wear clothes instead of pj's is a special occasion!

Wednesday Jennifer watched the babies so Carol, my mom, and I could clean out closets and storage rooms and get everything ready for our garage sale we are having Saturday! I didn't have time to go through all of my baby clothes so I'm not going to include any baby things in the sale but we are selling a ton of other stuff! It was hard work! I will be so glad when it is all done though! Hopefully I will be able to park in my garage again soon!

Brooks got to have a sleep over with Gigi too! He even got to open an early Christmas present! Gigi said he really liked it!

Even though I got a lot of things done this week there are just not enough hours in the day to accomplish everything on my to-do list! Maybe in January after the holidays I can get it all done!!! Yeah right!
