Thank You!

Brandon and I are so lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives who love our babies as much as we do. There is no way in the world we would have been able to leave town without their help! I missed the babies so much but it was so nice knowing they were in such good hands!

Thank you Ms Kathy and Rhonda for watching the babies so I could pack for my week and half vacation! There is no way I would have been able to leave town with out your help!

Karrie and Joseph, thank you so so much for watching the babies and feeding my husband. We are so so lucky to have friends like you and the babies are so lucky to have such a sweet aunt and uncle!

Nini, thank you for helping with the babies! I know they loved having you here!

Thank you Jennifer and Chris for babysitting my babies and taking such good care of them!

Cindy, thank you for babysitting the babies! That was so sweet of you! My mom is so lucky to have friends like you!

Thank you Caroline for helping with the babies too! I heard you got the night shift which I know can be a little rough sometimes! Also, thank you for letting Coco snuggle with you during this traumatic time in her life! ha

Mom, thank you for watching my babies for ten whole days! Also thank you for letting us use your condo! I tried to find a gift for you in Rosemary but nothing seemed like it was enough! During the ten days my mom stayed at my house she took care of the babies, taught Brooks to sleep in the crib, got Coco to stop barking, cleaned my house, bought our groceries, organized the babies toys, did our laundry, bought us blackout curtains, and drum roll please....bought us a new washer and dryer!!!! I can't tell you how nice it was to come home to all of this! In fact I think the babies miss Gigi being here! When B and I got home Knox was asleep so we woke him up and he took one look at B and I and started bawling! I think he missed his Gigi! It was pretty sad!

This is our new washer and dryer. It's our early anniversary gift from my mom. I had no idea how pitiful our washer and dryer was until I used our new one. Our old washer left rust stains on all of our white clothes and our dryer door would burst open every time you dried more than three or four things! The new washer and dryer made doing all of the laundry from our vacation fun! It's so high tech! I'm sure the fun will wear off soon enough though since I do about 2 loads a day every day!

The Wedding Day

Thursday morning I drove to Little Rock and Olivia and I ran errands with the bride to be all day. I jokingly called myself the official photographer of the weekend because I was carrying around my jumbo camera! I really wish I knew how to use it! I definitely need to take a class! I tried to snap a few pictures of Lauren getting her makeup done for the rehearsal dinner!

This looks like it could be her wedding dress but it was just the dress she wore to the rehearsal dinner.

Scott's parents hosted a wonderful rehearsal dinner at Arthurs in LR. The food was so so good. I really had a great time! We spent the entire dinner laughing our heads off! I literally had tears rolling down my face! We definitely have some funny stories from college! After the rehearsal dinner Olivia and I had a little slumber party with Lauren! It felt like we were back at the Chi O house!

Mr and Mrs Scott Landers!

A little blurry but it was the best my cell phone could do!

B and I right after the wedding!

The kiss! B got so mad at me for taking this picture! ha My phone was on silent and I don't think anyone saw me take it but him!

The pretty church!

Olivia and I before the ceremony!

The wedding was beautiful! Lauren's dress was amazing and she looked so pretty! The reception was so much fun too! It was at Scott's parents condo in downtown Little Rock. There were three elevators to take you to the eighteen floor and while we were waiting to get on one of the elevators got stuck! Twenty people were stuck on the elevator for almost an hour! They were screaming to call 911! It was crazy! My mom and B decided not to risk it and they walked up all eighteen flights of stairs! They definitely got their workout in for the day! I jumped on an elevator with Cori's dad. I figured if I was going to get stuck he would be a good person to be stuck with! I made it to the top with no problems! I wish I had more pictures from the wedding but I will have to wait for Hudson to post more! Lauren's cake was gorgeous and the best wedding cake I have ever had! I think she said it came from a bakery in Conway! The flowers were gorgeous too! Everything was just perfect! Congratulations Scott and Lauren! I'm so excited for you both!

I woke up the next morning at 6am and drove back to Fayetteville with my mom! I missed the babies so much I had to see them! B and I were leaving for Florida that afternoon from Little Rock so I only got to see them for four hours and then I turned around and drove back to Little Rock to fly out! Crazy I know, but the four hours with the babies were completely worth it!

Lauren's Last Fling Before the Ring!

Lauren's wedding festivities started on Wednesday with a bachelorette party! This was my first night to be away from the babies! I knew I would miss them but I was so excited about seeing my friends and having a night away from the bottles and diapers!
I woke up early Wednesday morning and drove to Hot Springs. I picked up Lauren and Olivia on the way. We started the day with massages at a spa. My masseuse was terrible! She basically petted me for an hour! Lauren's was even worse though! He was a creeper! I could hear her from my massage room and it was hilarious! He was going on and on about how he loves giving pleasure to his clients and Lauren was telling him to just rub her shoulders and that's it! She said she didn't want to mess up her spray tan! ha I think I would have told him to stick to my feet! After the spa we went to Scott's condo to get ready for dinner. Emily, Lauren's sister, decorated the condo and it was so cute! She really went above and beyond!

These cookies were delicious!

The cake was pretty impressive too!

The beautiful bride and maid of honor!

We went to dinner at a great new Italian restaurant in Hot Springs. I can't remember the name of it but it was really delicious! It was really great to see all of my friends! Everyone is so spread out so we don't get together that often anymore!

When we got back to the condo we had a little surprise for Lauren! Emily and Erica found a lady in the yellow pages that did bachelorette parties. Her name was Melba. She was about 80 and hilarious. She didn't mean to be hilarious but she was. She brought her husband to help her set up and we told Lauren he was a stripper. I think she believed us. He was about 85... You can kind of see him in the background.

Jessica helped Lauren with her veil. Lauren and I bought this veil when we lived in LA for Beth Anne's bachelorette party. So far Beth Anne, Me, Jessica, and now Lauren has worn it. Who's going to be next?

Melba and her man. They had rap music blaring when we walked in! Melba did say she was from Pine Bluff!

The bride to be and me!

Melba made Lauren wear devil ears so we let Emily try the veil on!

I can't tell you how much we laughed! The whole night was so random and hilarious! I can tell we are getting old because we were all asleep by about 1am!

Emily bought us all a few light up rocks to wear for the night!

Cori loves to show off her awesome dance moves.

Melba in action.

Lauren got a lot of cute gifts!

Lauren showing off some of her gifts!

It was such a fun night! I was so busy laughing and having fun that I didn't even have time to think about how much I missed the babies!

Lately...

Brandon's mom, aunt, and niece came to Fayetteville to visit the babies a few weeks ago! B's mom is always such a huge help when she is here! She cooks, does laundry, and takes care of the babies! This was the perfect time for her to come because I had to pack ten days worth of clothes and there is no way I could have gotten it done without her help!

We always have little photo shoots with the babies! B's mom has the best pictures of them! I think they pose better for other people!

This was Aunt Rhonda's first time to meet the babies! She has five grand kids so she is a pro!

Ms. Kathy always brings surprises with her when she comes! I still haven't had to buy one package of diapers because she has sent us so many! This time she brought Ava three bottles of nail polish! It's called Piggy Paint and it is polish made especially for babies! I tried to give her her first pedicure but she was a little squirmy and I had trouble staying on her toes! It still looked pretty cute though!

Brandon went shopping with his family because he needed to pick up a few things before our trip to FL. He sent me this picture and told me he couldn't wait until the boys could wear little suits! He really wanted to buy them! I think the smallest size the suit came in was 2T! I think it will be a little while before they will be wearing suits!

These are a few pictures Leigh took of the babies when she was here visiting.

Happy Brooks!
