School Update!

I think the babies have really started to like school!  It started out a little rough.  Brooks and Ava cried every time I dropped them off for the first two weeks.  Knox would just take off running and go play as soon as I put him down.  Bethany usually drops off Hudson after I leave so she always calls to let me know they are okay!  It's been a bit of an adjustment for me too!  I'm not use to waking up so early! I still have to wake the babies up every day before school and they usually aren't happy about it!  They don't really eat a good breakfast either.   Getting there is also a chore.  I take them and pick them up with the wagon.  Thank goodness for the red wagon!  We look like we are moving in when we walk in the building! I have a huge bag with five lunch boxes in it!  One for water sippys, one for milk sippys, and one for each of the babies!

Ava got a few bad reports the first week of school.  Apparently she wouldn't let the teacher put her down.  She would go limp every time she tried to put her down and cry.  They had to call a helper into the classroom... I had to have a little talk with the teacher!  Ava is a smart girl.  She knows who she can take advantage of.  Now her teacher has strict instructions just to put her down!  Although, every time I drop Ava off and pick her up she is still in the teachers arms.  She even lays her head on her shoulder.  I think that's her way of making it hard for the teacher to put her down!  She's so sweet and cuddly I don't like to put her down much either!

Knox is a wild mess!  I dropped him off last week and before I left I looked down and he was laying a big kiss on a little girl in his class!  Right on the lips.  Such a lover boy! I called B and told him and he said, "He doesn't need to be messing with those fast woman." Then he said, "He's going to be wild and so much fun!"  I don't know how much fun it's going to be keeping up with that boy!  The teachers have also told me that Knox likes to keep everyone in line.  Imagine that.  When they are on a wagon ride he always looks back to make sure the other wagon is right behind his.  He is also very aware when one of his siblings isn't at school.  I hope these three always look out for each other!

Brooks is just a perfect angel of course! ha

I think they are learning a lot.  I've noticed the babies are talking a lot more lately.  I don't know if it is school or their age but I would like to think it's school!  That is the main reason I wanted them to go to school!  To learn lots of new things!   They also have a new babysitter that comes to help two afternoons a week!  I think she is teaching them a lot too! They love Lally!  She really works on their manners!  Lot's of "No thank yous" and "please" and sharing lessons! She also likes to clean while they nap which I love of course!

Random Cell Phone Pics

This mess is just the start of my spring (actually fall) cleaning!  Next I have to take pictures of everything and put it on fb!  I still don't know if this is the best way to sell their clothes but until I can come up with a better way I guess I will just continue!

The car wash was not a hit like I thought it would be! ha

We love spaghetti!

The rainy, sad Alabama game!  And yes, I made those cookies!  Just kidding!

I wish I had taken more pictures at Stephanie's cute shower!  This is the only one I snapped!  (How talented is Allison?) I cannot wait to find out what baby Sheppard is going to be!  So exciting!

Caroline's New Job

We are so excited for Aunt Caroline!  She has a brand new job!  She was student teaching at the high school in Maumelle and one of the English teachers had a nervous breakdown and guess who they hired to replace him?!

I think her old students must have been pretty sad to see her go!  They decorated her car on her last day!

The cute new banner she made for her classroom!  I can't believe she is a real teacher!  Probably because I feel like she should still be in high school! Congrats Carol!  We know you will do a great job!
PS-Hurry up and move back to NWA!

Knox and his hats

Knox is just a funny little guy.  He is still so obsessed with his red boots.  Now he has added head gear to his ensembles.

Borrowing B's hat for the day.

When he doesn't have a hat handy he just uses his bucket.  The funny thing is he just walks around the house and plays and does his thing like nothing is unusual about his outfit.

I think he would wear his boots and hat to bed if I would let him! It's always a struggle to get them off!

Cinnamon Rolls are our favorite!  Not mommy's favorite thing to clean up though!  If I can find the time and the energy I really want to make them Pioneer Woman's homemade cinnamon rolls!

Sweet Brooks right after he got his stitches out!  Gosh I love this boy!  He was so brave!  Dr Travis came over to our house to take them out for us so we wouldn't have to go back to the doctor! Thanks Travis!  Brooks was a good little patient!

Trying on part of our Halloween costume!  Can you guess what we are going to be?

I love that they love to read!  Nothing makes me happier than to find them sitting down with a book!  Even when it's upside down! ha

Sweet Knox sucking his thumb!

His new favorite thing to do is pick the peppers off the plant.  Sometimes he takes a little bite too!

Ava getting ready for our girls day!  She got to stay home with me last week while the boys went to school!  We went to
Chik-fil-A, bought new books at Barnes and Noble, and then locked ourselves out of Gigi's house with our car keys inside! Daddy had to come rescue us with the extra set of keys and we were 45 minutes late to pick up the boys!

Backyard fun with daddy!

Our growing collection of hospital bracelets!

Olivia's getting married!

Last weekend we had a girls weekend in Hot Springs to celebrate Olivia!  It was so much fun!  I drove to Little Rock on Friday afternoon, did a little shopping for Ava at the Toggery (she got the cutest pink boots!) and then met up with everyone else and drove to Hot Springs.  Lauren and Scott were nice enough to let us use their lake house for the weekend! Friday night we went to dinner and stayed up talking and laughing!

Saturday we did a little decorating and then met the rest of the group for lunch!  After lunch we came back to the condo and had massages!  It was the perfect day!

Saturday night we went to dinner at Luna Bella.  If you are ever in Hot Springs I highly recommend it!  It was so yummy!

Karrie and me

Sarah, Olivia, Lauren, and Sarah Boyce!
I had so much fun visiting with friends and celebrating Olivia!  I can't wait for the wedding!

Prayers Please

I can't get Julee and Preslee off my mind.  I can't even begin to imagine what they are going through.  I don't know what to write because nothing seems adequate.  I just can't imagine.

I met Julee through my bff Lauren.  Both such sweet, sweet girls.  Over the years Julee and I have talked off and on and not always about the most pleasant things, sick husbands and fertility issues, oh and hair!   Julee was responsible for my perfect poof on my wedding day!  She styled my Jessica Simpson extensions to perfection (yes, I wore fake plastic hair at my wedding.  Ha)!  Brandon had a few health issues that landed us at Mayo clinic and when Matt had health problems I remember telling Julee it was the place to go.  Then, when it was time to have babies, I gave her my Dr. Silber sales pitch and then sweet Preslee was born!  I wish I had words of wisdom or the perfect person/Dr to fix all of her problems right now.  Faith, friends, and family will get her through this I'm sure.

Please prayer for Julee, Preslee and their families, hug your loved ones tight and shop at Riffraff too!
