Boys Trip 2013

Brandon and I took the boys to Big Cedar for a few days!  We wanted to take them on a little boys trip before school started.  A stayed home with Gigi!

This was their first time to stay in a hotel!

This guy was excited!

As soon as we got to our room we changed into our bathing suits and went to the pool!

They had so much fun swimming!

They like other pools so much more than our own.  I'm not sure what that is about!

I have two little ladies men on my hands!  They spotted some girls and immediately swam over to them! I think Knox was going in for a kiss.

Apparently, whatever that little girl was saying was really funny!

We walked back to the lodge and made a pit stop at the waterfall!

We made another pit stop at the playground!

Ready for dinner with daddy!

Not ready for pictures!

They loved the linkin logs in the lobby!

I was a little nervous about dinner.  We had reservations at the nicer restaurant at Big Cedar and the boys hadn't slept all day.  Definitely a recipe for disaster!  I tried to be proactive and ordered them both a Sprite!  ha

One happy boy!

They did so well at dinner!  Never made a peep!  Such good boys!

I told everyone that we were on a boys trip and I was just along to be the official photographer! We did let the waiter snap one picture of all of us though!

Since they were on vacation they each got their own ice cream Sunday for dessert!  They loved it!

Apparently on boys weekend you don't have to sit in a car seat and you can help dad drive the car too!  This is how we drove around all weekend!  Real safe!

Bambi!

This boy was sleepy and grumpy and two seconds away from a meltdown! He literally ran away from me every time I pulled the camera out!  I guess skipping naps will do that to ya!

Stopping to smell the flowers or "Fifi's" as Knox says.

My babies!

Petting the cat!

Brooks refused to wear shoes the entire time we were in Branson.  As soon as I would put them on him he would take them off and throw them. Soo.... He didn't wear shoes! ha

Love this little boy!

Cell Phone Pics!

Elizabeth and Josh moved across the street from us and the day the moving truck came my kids were glued to the window.  The moving truck provided hours of entertainment!  We are excited to have new neighbors!

I had a lunch date last week with friends!  The babies stayed home so I got to snuggle these two cuties lots!
Sawyer and Vivi are already a couple!

Shea and I have been taking these four for walks at Lake Fayetteville lately!  We always stop to see the waterfall and play on the playground!  A wore her new tennis shoes for the workout!

After our walk we met Baylon and his mom at the movies to see Planes.  I think I spent $50 on tickets and snacks and we lasted about an hour!  The kids were terrible! They did not stay in their seats for more than ten minutes.  They ran up and down the stairs.  Wouldn't eat their popcorn, and two of them pooped!  Disaster!

Tinkerbell in her new Hello Kitty panties! No accidents!  Have I written that Ava is potty training herself?  I have been no help!  I can never remember to ask her if she has to go.  I always try to put a diaper on her... I really need to help her more!  It's just so hard to take her to the potty when we are out!  She always goes to the potty at school and she always wakes up dry! Maybe we can attempt to really potty train in a few weeks.  Ha I just keep putting it off!

Busy Week Part 2

We went to our neighborhood Back to School Popsicle Party!  The ice cream truck came and everyone got a free treat!  We love the ice cream truck!
PS-Ava dressed herself again! Rain boots on the wrong feet...
Knox ate a popsicle and then got back in line for another!  We owe the POA a dollar!
They ran away from home and made it to the curb across the street.  They stayed there for a little while and then came back home! ha I think they missed their mommy!

Friday night we went to Leigh and Travis's house for a cookout!  They kids had so much fun! They ran wild! Poor Caleb and B!

Three little birdies waiting on a bite!

My kids love the Bowen boys!

Saturday Ava and I went to Elizabeth's baby shower and B and the boys went to the airport to eat breakfast and watch all of the planes come in!

Ava tried her first powdered donut!  I would say she was a fan!

Ava and Allison! And more donuts!

Making herself right at home and playing with Ruby and Lyla's kitchen!

Donut #204

While we were showering baby Madison Daddy was shopping with the boys!  He bought the boys a new bike and a few other surprises at Target!

Brooks was his daddy's little helper! He walks around the house and says, "Mommy I fick it"  He fixes everything for us!

We took selfies while the boys worked on the bike!

Ava claimed the new bike as her own.  As soon as it was put together she said, "Uh A's bike" "That mine", etc...  So as soon as she got up Sunday morning she put on her socks (actually my socks) and shoes and went outside to ride.  Poor baby had a little trouble steering and lost control going down our steep driveway.  I was holding Brooks and couldn't run fast enough to catch her.  The bike turned over and she flew off!  I really thought she was really hurt but she just skinned her knees and her elbow.  She was so upset though.  She needed bandaids everywhere to feel better! PS-B does not handle situations like this very well.  I think he freaked out worse than Ava! I tried to tell him I didn't think this was going to be her last bike wreck! Poor baby!

Our Busy Week

We are trying to live it up before we start school in a few weeks!  I still can't believe summer is almost over!  Didn't it just start?!

Ava taking Brooks on a Sunday drive!  She is always the driver and they are always the passengers which is pretty cute and funny!

We went to lunch with Bennett and Sarah and then made a stop at Barnes and Noble so everyone could pick out a new book.  Bennett passed out Tic Tac snacks to everyone.  The babies loved them!  Thanks for sharing Bennett!

My little thug.  He keeps his hat as low as he can.  I'm really not sure how he can even see out of it!

Pouting at the park.

Swinging cheered her up real fast!   They love to yell, "Higher mommy, higher!"

We met all of our friends at Little Giggles to play!  Knox loves to play in the kitchen!

Doing a little shopping with Porter!

They look like a little married couple!

Living with two brothers has made Ava a tough little thing!  She can be a little fighter!  She hit poor little Hudson when he tried to play with the shopping cart!  At least she hugs them after she hits them I guess..

One night we had a picnic in our living room!  We ordered pizza and rented a movie!  Cars! They had so much fun.

I have never been able to make pancakes.  I always burn them or they just taste funny!  I can make a really good waffle though... The kids love them so I decided it was time to perfect my pancake making!  Someone told me the key is to use an electric skillet!  I got one as a wedding gift but I don't think I have ever used it!  And this picture is why!  I had to pull a million things out of my cabinets to even get to it!  I think a little cabinet organizing is in order!

Almost perfect blueberry pancakes!  The babies loved them!

We've been going for lots of walks at Lake Fayetteville!  We love the pretty trails!  The weather was so nice last week, it made me ready for fall!
