Pumpkin Patch Part 1

About two months ago, literally, we made another trip to Farmland adventures!  We love this place!  Too bad it's not open year round! This time B, Gigi, and Caroline got to go!  It was such a pretty day!  I took approximately one million pictures so I'm dividing them up into several different post!

I'm so behind.  Christmas is here and I haven't even downloaded our Halloween pictures! I don't even know where to begin.  I feel like we are really busy, have lots of fun and then we are all sick for a week or two and then we start over and have fun, then sick.  That is my life right now.  The kids are getting wilder and harder by the day and my house is getting messier and messier! ha I have so much going on right now and I've finally realized I just can't do it all!  I had to pick something to neglect so I chose my blog and personal hygiene.  Just kidding!  Kind of! 

I would just skip over everything but since this is like my scrapbook and I print it for the babies I want to document their second Halloween and Thanksgiving!  Maybe I will just do it with more pictures and less words! 

Pumpkin Patch Day at School

School mornings are always so hectic!  I don't know why I always think it's a good idea to take pictures of the babies on our way out the door!  These definitely aren't framers but I wanted to document the day and I thought they looked so cute in their new Halloween outfits Jenny made them!

Typical.  Knox takes after me when it comes to sleep.  If he has to get up before he's ready he is not a happy camper!

Go B Go!

Brandon has been training for this race for months.  Maybe not training for it for months but talking about training for it.  It was always his excuse when he wanted to go ride.  He would tell me he had to be gone for three hours because he was training.  Whatever!  On the day of the race the weather was terrible!  It was cold, raining, sleeting, just bad!  I had planned to take the babies to the finish line to watch them come in but when I saw the weather I decided we should go get donuts with Karrie instead! ha I felt so bad for B and the guys!  I would have quit after five minutes but that's probably why they were in the race and not me!  Gigi offered to watch the babies so I could try to make it to see the big finish!  When I got to the race site Carter and Steve had already finished!  I snapped a picture of them warming up by the heater though!  They said Brandon and Brock should come in any second but they never came and never came!

Finally we spotted them!  That is B in the black!  Apparently they had taken a wrong turn on gone a few miles out of their way!  Poor guys!

I'm so proud of all of them for completing the race!  It was the Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association.  B got to wear a red jersey since he has diabetes!  

They are talking about taking this little hobby on the road!  I would be more then happy to travel along to watch them race as long as the races were in fun cities and I got to shop!!  They are also recruiting lots of new members to their little biker gang and B's spandex collection is out of control!  I know he loves it though since he gets up at 5:30 in the morning to ride!  

Next he thinks he wants to train for a marathon!  I'm feeling lazy! ha 

Random Pics

First time out....  It was a Friday night, B was working until midnight so I was doing the night routine all by myself.  I was in the kitchen scrubbing high chairs and trying to clean up their mess from dinner and Ava wandered in the kitchen with a pair of pj pants draped over her shoulder.  I knew right then that they were about to be in trouble.   

This is the mess I found.  In the corner they went!

Taking the dump truck for a spin.  Brooks was riding it first and Ava squeezed in front of him.  They got stuck like this and I had to rescue them!  Then I noticed it said in big letters "Do not ride on toy"  Oh well! 

I found purple cauliflower at Harps a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to cook it for the babies!  It tasted like regular cauliflower to me and I don't even know if they noticed the color difference!  Still pretty neat!

I snapped this pic of B while he was giving me a speech about his new gun.  He was taking it apart and showing me all of the features.  I think he was just so excited about it that he wanted to talk about it with someone and didn't care if I was listening or not. 

I made these.  They will be much cuter monogrammed but I am still pretty proud of myself!  Sewing is not easy!  Oh and these are supposed to be the same size.  I used the same pattern, I just don't know what happened! ha 

He changes shoes five hundred times a day.  Now that he can put them all on himself there is no stopping him.  This day he was wearing Ava's new leopard Uggs.  I think the liked how the fur felt on his toes! ha 

Ava is obsessed with coffee!  She always wants a drink!  Sometimes I give her a taste when it cools off and she goes crazy!  It took me years to like the taste, I can't believe she already does!  

Five Years!

B and I waited until the last minute to plan something for our anniversary.  We talked about planning something for months we just never actually did it.  Finally a few days before we came up with a plan.  B went hunting that morning while I took the babies to breakfast, then we all went to the pumpkin patch so they could ride the ponies and the tractor one last time!  After the pumpkin patch Gigi took the babies home and B and I went to lunch and to a movie.  Then that night we met our friends for dinner!  It was actually the perfect anniversary!  So much fun and so simple! 

We went to lunch at Table Mesa in Bentonville.  I have always wanted to try it but I never have time to drive to Bentonville.  It was so good.  I will definitely be going back! B even loved it!  After lunch we had some time to kill so we wandered into the Wal-Mart museum on the square.  B is not a big fan of Wal-Mart but agreed to go in.  The museum is pretty interesting!  

I didn't think we were exchanging gifts until B told me he was excited about what he got me (an Iphone 5).  I had to throw a gift together pretty last minute so I planned a trip to NYC!  He has never been and we have several friends that live there so I think it should be fun!  I actually gave him running clothes with a map of Central Park!  Pretty creative if I do say so myself!  I actually hope he doesn't plan on working out while we are there though!  I want to sleep in, shop, and eat! ha 

Can't believe it's been 5 years!  It's really crazy to think we have been dating for 12! 

Friends!

Dinner was so good.  I think we ordered every single thing on the menu including dessert!  It was so much fun celebrating with friends!

Mr and Mrs Hackney!

A few weeks ago we all went to Little Rock for Olivia's wedding! It was Ava's big debut as a flower girl!  I drove down Saturday night for the rehearsal dinner and my mom and Brandon brought Ava down Sunday morning.  B called me bright and early Sunday morning to tell me as soon as they put Ava in her car seat to leave she started throwing up everywhere!  She also had a really high temp! I figured she would sleep the entire way down so I told them to go ahead and bring her to the wedding!  Poor baby was so sick!  She did not sleep on the way down and she was not happy when she got to the wedding!  We gave her a pacifier and hoped for the best!

Even though Ava isn't looking at the camera I love this picture!  She looked so cute in her little dress and headband!  I wish I had a picture of Ava and Jack together!  They looked pretty cute!  Jack did a great job walking down the aisle but Ava wouldn't leave Gigi's arms! She just wasn't in the mood to perform her flower girl duties!  

Mrs Hackney!  Olivia looked so pretty!  Her dress was gorgeous!  Now she needs to move back from Houston so I can see her more often! 

I wish we could have stayed at the wedding longer but when Ava threw up everywhere and all over Gigi we knew it was time to load up and head back to Fayetteville! 

The next morning I took Ava's temperature and it was 104.6!  I took her to the doctor bright and early and he told me her little ear looked terrible!  I think she is just one of those kids that gets a lot of ear infections and has high fever with them. It's crazy to think she had never taken any medicine until a few months ago and I think she has been on three different antibiotics since then!  

Ava is going to get the chance to redeem herself this weekend because she is in another wedding!  Her brothers will be with her this time!  Hopefully it will go a little smoother!   I might start them all on a preventative round of antibiotics just in case! ha
