Eat-
This was a big month for our eating! This is the month the babies started eating solid foods! They eat cereal every morning and a veggie at night. So far all they have had is avocado but they seem to really like it! They haven't choked at all! They must have been ready for a change! They are still eating four, 7-8 ounce bottles a day. Brooks and Ava take Sam's Choice formula and Knox is still on Alimentum. Six months is when he should be able to try to switch formulas again! I'm already getting nervous about that! I can't handle another rash! Right now they are taking a bottle at 9am, eating cereal at 11am, bottle at 1pm, bottle at 5pm, veggie at 7pm, and another bottle at 9pm and then bedtime! They are still using level 2 nipples but I have already purchased twenty-four level three nipples that I am ready to wash in use! I really don't know what I am waiting on there!
Sleep-
This was also a big month for our sleep habits! I think everything is finally clicking around here! The babies are going to bed around 9pm and waking up around 8:30 or 9am! They are all sleeping in sleep sacks now! No more swaddling! Knox and Brooks sleep together in the crib in our room and Ava is sleeping in a bassinet in our room. Ava can kick her leg over the side of the bassinet so it is only a matter of time before we have to put her in a crib. She loves the little bassinet and goes to sleep as soon as I put her it. She snuggles as close to the corner as she can get. She is definitely my best sleeper! Although, she does wake up every morning at 5am and talks and laughs very loudly! In the next few weeks I am going to get rid of the bed in the boys room and move two cribs in. I think it is finally time for the babies to sleep in their own rooms. Ava sleeps on her back but the boys sleep on their stomachs.
Our naps are still a bit of a mess. The babies always take a short nap in the morning around 11am and then they take a three hour nap in the afternoon after their 1pm bottle. They usually aren't all asleep at the same time though.. Unless I get lucky! I'm hoping when their rooms upstairs are finished I will be able to put them all in bed at the same time and get a better nap schedule going. Right now they nap in the swings, on the floor, really wherever they fall!
Tricks-
They are really moving now! It amazes me how far they can get by rolling and scooting! Everyday I put a large blanket on the living room floor and after their morning bottle they play and watch Hi-5 while I do laundry/make bottles/etc. Most of their day is spent on the floor! They are starting to show more interest in toys and the boys love to hold on to their balls and rattles. Ava is too busy rolling to play with toys. As soon as you lay her down she flips over on her stomach. Brooks too! Brooks can really scoot! Caroline swears he is crawling but I think he is really just scooting a lot! We put them in their Johnny Jumper thing but they all just kind of hang there. No jumping yet! Oh and Knox can kind of hold is bottle! That is exciting and definitely a new trick! They can also all lift up on their hands more and more! Oh and Knox is now a full time thumb sucker and Brooks is a part-time thumb sucker. Ava still loves Mr Frog.
Bath-
Still love their baths and still take a bath in the sink. I used to bathe them whenever I got a chance but now I have started bathing them at night after they eat their veggie! Food is a huge mess!!!
Clothes-
They are all wearing size 2 diapers and 6-12 month clothes. They spend a lot of time in their pj's and so do I! We have lots of pj parties at our house! B always looks a little surprised when he comes home from work and I'm still in my pj's and glasses at 7pm!
Looks-
Ava-Beautiful
Brooks-Precious
Knox-Handsome
Really they look the same as they did last month just older and cuter! Knox still looks like me with B's mouth, Brooks still has B's coloring and a mixture of our features, and Ava I'm really not so sure about. Sometimes I think she looks like me and other times B. Who knows! Ava is really starting to get more hair. Knox too! Brooks' hair isn't there yet!
Teeth-
Still no teeth but lots of drooling and finger biting! Ava definitely has a bump on the bottom left side of her mouth! I can't wait to see a little tooth push through!
They don't go to the Dr until next month so I don't have any updated weights or heights. If I had to guess I would say the boys are around 15lbs and Ava 14. I could be way off though! I can't wait to go to the Dr to get the updated info!
Ava-
You are so cute and so funny. Your little personality is hilarious! You are a flirt and it is so precious! You like watching your brothers and you seem to like Coco and Layla too! You can be very dramatic though! You still laugh sometimes when you are trying to cry! It's pretty funny! You are such a happy baby you just can't seem to completely get upset and cry! You make the cutest little sounds! Your voice is adorable and can be very loud at 5am! You roll everywhere! We can't keep you in one spot! You don't sleep a lot during the day but sleep great at night! We just put you in your bed and you go right to sleep! We love you Ava! You are our sweet princess Aj!
Brooks-
You smile all of the time! Its' crazy! You are the happiest little baby! You will laugh and laugh and laugh. You also love to look around. Your dad says you are a little observer! Nini thinks you will be a business man when you grow up because you can be very serious too! You love to play and roll around. I have a feeling you might be our first crawler! You also love to watch tv more than your brothers and sisters. You love music too! Maybe you will be our little musician! You like to sit in our laps like a big boy and look around! Your dad always wants to take you to work with him! I haven't let him yet but I think he knows you would love to look at all of the lights and the people in the store! We love you so much Brooks! You are the sweetest little boy!
Knox-
Knox-
You love to pull Coco's hair. I will find wads of her hair in your fingers! She seems to like you because she keeps coming back for more! Your daddy calls you our "Wild Man" because you are pretty spunky! You also talk constantly. It's so funny to hear you! You have started shrieking too! It's so loud but so funny! You are still very snuggly and will wrap your little arms around my neck! You LOVE your thumb. In the past week you have turned into a serious thumb sucker! You love it! You will pull the bottle out of your mouth to put your thumb in! It's pretty funny! You are so sweet and we love you so much little Knoxie!
